Pennylyn Dykstra-Pruim, host of the podcast Diversity and Inclusion for All, was an occasional guest on the Antioch Podcast. As a professor, author and antiracism educator, she shared her gifts with the Christian and interfaith communities in Grand Rapids Michigan and wherever she was invited to speak. But to many of us here on the Antioch Podcast, Pennylyn was more than an inspiring co-laborer in the field of Biblical Antiracism – she was a friend and mentor. Pennylyn died after a lengthy battle with cancer this summer, and we on the Antioch Podcast wanted to share our memories of her, as well as one of the episodes where she is a guest, so all of you can hear her voice, and be as inspired by her as we all have been.
The episode we are sharing is an encore episode recorded at the beginning of the COVID epidemic in 2020 at our annual STAND AGAINST RACISM event that we held that year. Other episodes featuring Pennylyn can be found in the show notes for this episode.
Let’s go now and listen to this conversation.
